Well, we made it to day 30 of the Holiday Challenge! Where are you today? Are you hopeful and excited about the future? Are you struggling to make it through the day? Are you somewhere in the space between?
If you feel like you are barely hanging on, take a moment to celebrate that you are hanging on. It’s tough and you don’t have to hang on gracefully—just keep hanging on. Eventually your grip will evolve into an embrace, an embrace of the good things you will attract to your life.
What Is Grace
Grace is about acknowledging what is present in your life, both good and bad, and appreciating the resiliency and hope that is the human spirit. Humans are innately resilient and hopeful.
If you participated in the Holiday Challenge, it is most likely because you are struggling with loss. The theme of the past 30 days has been to allow space in your life to acknowledge what is present. Our lives are at any time some combination of lightness and darkness. We may feel fear, sorrow and anxiety but we can also experience joy, beauty and a spirit of abundance.
Look For The Light
How can you choose to reunite with your smile? It’s tough to look for the good during days, weeks, and months when none seems evident. There are always opportunities to dwell on the half empty glass, particularly following a divorce or death of a loved one. But if you can look for even a speck of brightness and move toward it, you will heal. You will ultimately thrive as the speck grows in size and becomes your North Star, beckoning you to better things.
I have learned the thing that matters most is how well you feel you are showing up to your life, and if that means you don’t get what you had hoped for, you can choose another vision, another dream.
Albert Einstein said, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”
Good will come and you will be there to receive it, to embrace it. This is what I believe for me and for you.
Wishing you peace and fulfillment,
